Gardening 101

I come from a family of farmers, so planting and harvesting is deeply rooted in my blood (pun intended). I had my own vegetable garden for years and take pride in my flower beds. Even transitioning to #RVLife, I’ll still be gardening, just not necessarily with plants.

Seeds are ideas full of potential. Some will sprout and grow pretty much anywhere at any time, but others are more particular about their growing conditions. You probably have many great ideas, but prioritizing the ones that will grow in your current conditions will increase your chances of success.

Once the seeds are planted and have started sprouting, you must make sure you only keep the strongest seedlings and pull any weeds that sprout to give the best ones the greatest chance to grow.

Your ideas are the same way, even if, like me, you LOVE ideas (whether they are good ones or not!). You need to make sure you stay focused on the best ideas, turn them into goals, and then protect them from the weeds (negative thoughts) that can crowd them out before they have a chance to produce fruit.

One of the best things about a bountiful harvest is sharing with those around you. There’s normally more than enough to go around – and that includes the wonderful food as well as the lessons learned when things didn’t go so well either.

My bounty is my many years’ experience in the business world working with all types of people. The fruit is the relationships I’ve built, and the lessons learned have led to self-discovery, insight, patience (most of the time) and wisdom.

No matter where you are in your “gardening” journey, I’d be happy to help you reach the next step so you can enjoy and share your “harvest.” Reach out to me to schedule a free 30-minute consultation.
