I want it all…and I want it NOW!
Sounds greedy right?
I am a believer in not waiting to live, but living in the here and now. But sometimes it takes a while to realize a dream.
I've wanted to be a digital nomad, live in an RV (a nice big one), and enjoy roaming around the country visiting old friends and family and taking in the sights for more than seven years now.
I spent the last seven years,
dreaming about it,
researching it,
stress testing the idea with the family,
waiting for kids to get fully independent,
growing my remote business so that I can work from ANYWHERE,
attending RV shows, taking RV-related classes on-line, dreaming up money-making schemes we can do from the road in addition to my consulting and coaching work,
worrying about how we are going to bring our dogs with us,
plotting how to make it work while still supporting my mother (who has Alzheimer's) and my sister who cares for her, and
being terrified about driving a HUMUNGOUS vehicle!
Well, last weekend, we did a thing... yes, we bought a fifth wheel that we plan to move in to in October just in time to "winter" in Florida 🙂 (or Arizona or Texas...).
Sometimes you can get what you want RIGHT NOW and sometimes you have to take baby steps, prepare and wait. Either way, you'll get there as long as you keep your eye on the prize.
